Scientific expertise |
I deal with the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials such as carbon nanostructures with metallic additives, semiconductor materials based on Cu and Zn oxide (CuO, ZnO nanorods, nanofoam) and porous composites. I am interested in researching the photothermal and photoelectric properties of the obtained nanomaterials, thanks to which it will be possible to use them in renewable energy sources. Their catalytic properties allow them to be used to purify water and air from harmful substances.

|
Capabilities |
1. Preparation of the porous nanocomposites materials based on Cu and Zn oxides and carbon composites (thermal oxidation, PVD, CVD methods)
2. Characterization of the nanocomposites: topography, morphology, crystalline and electron structure (SEM, UV-Vis and FTIR spectroscopy, TGA, DSC, XRD, SIMS)
3. Study of photocatalysis, photoelectric and photothermal phenomena.
4. Application of nanomaterials in gas sensors. |
