Working groups of interest
-WG1 - Advances in Porous Materials and Technologies
Keywords
- Macropores
- Mesopores
- Nanopores
- Smart Functional Surfaces
Scientific expertise 1)Preparation and applications of self-ordered nanoporous anodic aluminum oxide (self-ordered AAO). 2) Mesoscopic structure fomation in low-dimensional confinement, in particlular in AAO pores. 3) Nanorod arrays by replication molding of AAO. 4) Porous block copolymers. 5)Development and application of mesoporous stamps for contact lithography exploring the wealth of mesoporous materials. 6) Functional surfaces with specific wetting and adhesion properties as well as for nanobioanalytics.
Capabilities 1) Preparation of self-ordered AAO following the two-step anodization processes introduced by Masuda et al. in a specifically designed laboratory with nine independent anodization setups. 2) Postanodization processing of AAO. 3) Melt-Infiltration of AAO using specifically desinged precission furnaces. 4) XRD texture analysis. 5) Access to the core facility CellNanOs at Universtiät Osnabrück providing state-of-the-art optical and electron microscopy.
