Scientific expertise Nanostructured porous semiconductors and oxides for photonics and energy: electrochemical formation and post-processing of por-Si, InP, and GaAs; design of oxide/semiconductor heterostructures (Al₂O₃, TiO₂, ZnO, Ga₂O₃) for UV-C solar-blind photodetectors, sensors, and Si-based photovoltaics; strain-engineering with compliant porous buffers (e.g., por-Si for 3C-SiC/Si); device-level characterization and reliability. Additional expertise: metrology and quality assessment of nanostructures (standardization, certification), open/FAIR data practice and research integrity in materials research.
Capabilities Synthesis and characterization of nanostructured porous semiconductors and oxides using electrochemical etching, anodization, and thin-film deposition. Design of functional heterostructures (por-Si/SiC, Al₂O₃/ZnO/Ga₂O₃) for UV-C photodetectors, solar-cell interfaces, and optoelectronic sensors. Advanced materials analysis: XRD (Williamson–Hall), Raman/PL spectroscopy, SEM/TEM/AFM, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and finite-element modelling (COMSOL). Patent development and technology transfer in semiconductor materials, nanostructure quality assessment, and porous-layer engineering. Leadership in research management and international cooperation (COST Actions, Fulbright, Open4UA, LEAPS–SOLARIS). Science communication and data ethics: open science implementation, FAIR/CARE data principles, AI transparency, and integrity in research publishing.
