Capabilities • Full member of the research unit Chemical Engineering and Environmental Resources for Sustainability (CERES) of University of Coimbra; https://www.uc.pt/ceres/ • Supervisor/Co-supervisor of 6 finished PhD thesis, 7 on-going PhD works, 70 MSc theses and 13 IAESTE/mobility trainees. • Participation in the scientific activities of 7 international projects in the area of energetic materials and 26 projects/service provisions in the area of nanotechnology (mainly with silica based aerogels; 5 international), being the PI or responsible by the UC contribution of 13 of the latter (8 international). The projects under her coordination/co-coordination accumulated >1.5 MEur of competitive funding for UC. • 119 peer-reviewed articles published in scientific journals and as book chapters (https://www.scopus.com/authid/detail.uri?authorId=55924975500) and over 120 papers in conference proceedings. 15 invited communications. Co-author of 5 international patents (all published). h-index 33 (Scopus) and 32 (WoS). • Evaluator of 16 international projects/grants by invitation from National Foundations/Agencies in Europe and reviewer of ca.180 scientific manuscripts for >50 high quality journals. Evaluator of FCT PhD grants in 2022 and 2024. • Member of 15 PhD, 10 Thesis Project and >90 MSc juris, many of them as chair. Member of the evaluation panel in 10 Researcher or Technician’s positions at UC. • Representation of University of Coimbra in the Technical Commission CT194-Nanotechnologies of the Portuguese Institute of Quality, linked to ISO and CEN standardization bureaus. • Adviser member of the Space work group of the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology for the H2020 program. Adviser member of the CRUSOE group ‘Energia Sostenible’. • Organizer of 10 scientific meetings.
