Scientific expertise I am a materials scientist specializing in the design, characterization, and mechanism-understanding of advanced porous adsorbents for CO₂ capture and conversion. At CICECO, she develops tailored mesoporous silica and carbon-based materials, combining state-of-the-art synthesis, characterizations, and computational modeling, to unravel gas–solid interactions and optimize performance for biogas upgrading, CO₂ separation, and environmental remediation. My work bridges chemistry, materials engineering, and sustainability, with a strong commitment to translating fundamental insight into solutions for climate-relevant challenges.
Capabilities Synthesis and characterization of porous materials for environmental applications, mainly for CO2 capture and conversion.
