Scientific expertise 1. Electrochemical synthesis of innovative metallic alloys and carbon-based composites using formulations of Deep Eutectic Solvents (DESs). I have advanced the field through electrodeposition under direct/pulsed current mode of binary and ternary alloys such as NiSn, SnCuNi, and composites like NiSn-rGO, Sn-rGO and Sn-MWCNTs from choline chloride-based DESs formulation. 2. Synthesis of nanomaterials including metallic nanoparticles (Ag-NPs, Pt-NPs, TiO2-NPs), nanowires (Cu, CuO, CoSb), nanocolumns (Cu), and composites with carbon-based nanomaterials (Ag-MWCNTs, Ag-TiO2, Ag-Fe3O4, PtCo-G). Most of these materials were prepared using electrochemical routes from DES-based electrolytes, but aqueous ones as well, and others through physical techniques such as pulsed laser ablation or magnetron sputtering. Recently, my focus has been directed towards the electrochemical synthesis of hybrid nanoparticles combining Ag/TiO2 and Ag/Fe3O4. This research is conducted using Deep Eutectic Solvents (DESs) electrolytes under the national grant ARUT, for which I currently hold the position of Project Director. 3. Development of electrochemical sensors based on nanomaterials for biomedical applications 4. Structural, morphological, and electrochemical characterization - I am trained and familiarized with characterization techniques used to determine the structural and morphological properties of materials, including SEM-EDX analysis, X-ray diffraction spectroscopy, and Raman investigation. Additionally, I possess expertise in electrochemical characterization techniques, including cyclic voltammetry, chronoametrometry, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS).

Other relevant information I am a highly motivated young researcher with a diverse educational background and a strong track record in the field of synthetic chemistry and materials science. I completed both my Bachelor´s and Master´s degrees in Chemistry at the University of Zaragoza, Spain, in 2016 and 2017, respectively, earning the prestigious "Extraordinary Degree/Master’s Award." Throughout my academic journey, I have been honored to receive numerous study scholarships and research initiation grants from institutions such as the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the Institute of Nanoscience of Aragón (INA), which have recognized my early contributions to the scientific community. In 2018, I returned to Romania, joining the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, with a Marie Skłodowska-Curie doctoral fellowship as part of the "Advanced integrative solutions to corrosion problems beyond micro-scale: towards long-term durability of miniaturized biomedical, electronic, and energy systems-mCBEEs" Innovative Training Network program. During my Ph.D. studies, I had the opportunity to perform three research internships at partner universities of the mCBEEs project, including two at Jönköping University in Sweden and one at TU Delft University in the Netherlands. These internships provided valuable insights into characterization techniques and exposed me to new working environments, allowing me to interact with researchers and professors from diverse fields across Europe and establish my own professional network. I successfully completed my Ph.D. studies within three years and received my diploma with “Summa cum laude” honors in December 2021. In 2023 I achieved the position of Lecturer at the Faculty of Medical Engineering, National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, where I am responsible for the teaching and laboratory activities of the "Materials Science" course, aimed at first-year students. Currently, I’m coordinating three bachelor theses at the same Faculty.
