-WG1 - Advances in Porous Materials and Technologies
Research field (Free keywords) Porous ceramics, beads, FGM, microstructure, core-shell
Scientific expertise I am a ceramic engineer, have a Ph.D. degree in this field, expert on material production processes, mainly for ceramic and composite materials. I have been studying the processing and characterization of dense and porous ceramic and composite materials. I have already concentrated on developing porous monolithic and composite ceramics in a bulk structure and specially designed porous beads in the last few years. It is a challenging task to develop novel designed porous structures at the micro and nano level. Development of core-shell porous structures, novel microstructural design features, and dedicated starting materials synthesis may help achieve this goal. I believe that with the help of collaborating colleagues, we can obtain the targets of the working group.
Capabilities * Processing of porous ceramic and composites bulk structures via various processing techniques such as starch consolidation, polymeric sponge, etc. * Processing of porous ceramic and composite beads. Novel microstructural design. * Functionally graded material design in bulk materials and spheres. * Material characterization studies (microstructure, phase content, thermal, mechanical, etc.).
